Scaling shaders in Carrara
(Carrara 5 and above)
This is a very simple method to scale, stretch or rotate shaders in Carrara.
First, jump in the texture room and create a new master shader (Edit/new master shader).
At the top of shader, select the flat mapping option. Choose the cubic projection for example in the right menu.
In your browser, select the shader you want to scale.
Copy the entire shader...
... and paste into the new one.
Jump in the assemble room.
Drag and drop the shader onto the object.
Back in the texture room, adjust the overall size (scale, rotate, stretch) with the transformer tab of the flat mapping option so the shader can fit to the object as wanted.
